Management Theories & Styles for GDPR Compliance Projects

This study examined four management theories, namely Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, McGregor’s Theory X and Theory Y, Herzberg’s Content Theory and Weber’s Bureaucratic Theory. The management theories were connected with the management style that best promoted the attributes of the management theory. This allowed the study to determine that there is a link between the management theories adopted by the organisation and the management style practiced by the managers within an organisation using compliance and application of GDPR in an organisation as an example.
